About the car's settings, it is tempting to browse some forums in order to find any help. But that means everything and nothing. Often I think that simracers are unable to explain exactly what to do, or worse, two conflicting opinions can be given, that spread a little confusion.
Moreover, I don't know any reference driver today who has shone in online races and has subsequently produced a book of tips for beginners, on the subject of setup.
Fortunately, some drivers have made an effort and have achieved guides to help us. It is clear that, again, a single document is not enough and many sources must be crossed many times to get the information which answers our question.
In this regard, for the moment, I use two guides:
- The engineer's guide, produced by lexo1000, very technical, perhaps too much for novices, but which has the merit of going further in detail (for this reason, it must be read and reread during the progress of the driver) and propose turnkey solutions,
- As well as the settings guide posted by Murdock, on the website Nogrip, very accessible, easy to use and to understand, and which in particular indicates what way to use in order to verify a particular setting (sight, grip or MOTEC).
