Seeking the limit of adhesion
Thanks to my readings, I could identify one of my faults. By trying to respect the trajectory and optimize the grip of the tires, I never really sought the limit of adhesion.
Specifically, I've never really taken advantage of the lateral force of the machine, which allows the car to better fit into the corners. In short, we need the car oversteer and take an angle of pronounced drift that pulls its back from the path and plunged self to the rope.
In the words of Piero Taruffi, in his book "The driving school" published by Editions Gerard and Co, Verviers, "driving by using small slip angles means not using the entire" power curve "of the tires. Machines that have this attitude clearly do not actually carried out quickly. "
But how to do it ? The pilot also says: "to get the best results in curve, you should never slow down when turning, but keep enough gas in the central phase to maintain a constant speed."
This reading opened my eyes. I now make sure I always have the foot on the accelerator, even give only a few gas in order to keep the rear of the car drifting while trying not to go up to the loss adhesion.
A good lesson.
